Choose seals of good material

When inspecting and repairing transformers and dealing with leakage, seals with good high temperature resistance and oil resistance should be selected. The most commonly used sealing material in the domestic transformer industry is nitrile rubber. Its oil resistance mainly depends on the content of acrylonitrile in the nitrile rubber. The higher the acrylonitrile content, the better the oil resistance, the greater the hardness, and the less likely to be deformed. Generally, nitrile rubber with Shore hardness between 70 and 80 should be selected. When assessing the oil resistance of the gasket, the gasket aging test and the compatibility test with transformer oil should generally be done, soak it in hot oil at 120°C for 168h, and then measure the rate of change of its weight, volume and hardness, and select it. It is a seal that meets the standard with little deformation.

Choose high-quality butterfly valves

The butterfly valve chooses the ZF80 vacuum eccentric butterfly valve. Compared with ordinary butterfly valves, vacuum eccentric butterfly valves have greatly improved the mechanical strength and surface finish, and the product has one of the biggest advantages, which is the use of double-layer sealing at the interface of the transformer flange, which eliminates it. Oil leakage at the transformer interface.

Use electric welding to plug leakage

Electric welding can be used to plug leakage due to pores, sand holes, welds, weld joints, and cracks left by the transformer due to casting.

Before plugging the welding, find the leakage point. If the leakage point is smaller, you can directly use electric welding to kill the leakage point; if the leakage point is larger, fill the asbestos rope or metal filler first, and then surfacing around it, and then use a small welding rod. High-current rapid ignition repair welding.

Standardize the seal replacement process

For transformers of different models and capacities, whether flanged or threaded, the dust and rust on the connecting surface must be removed before the seal is replaced. After the seal is cleaned, sealant should be applied to both sides of the seal (Generally, 609 polymer liquid sealant is used). After the sealant has dried for a period of time and the solvent evaporates, tighten the flanges and screws.

Improve the level of installation technology

Eliminate leakage caused by improper installation method

If the flange interface is not flat or deformed and misaligned, first correct the interface. If the flange is seriously misaligned and cannot be corrected, the flange can be cut and re-welded, and the interface must be parallel. When installing, the compression of the gasket should be about 1/3 of its thickness.

Fast sealing and plugging glue stick for plugging

This method is used for small leakage and dripping of transformers. For the thinner tube wall of the transformer radiator, and the leakage points that are not suitable for electric welding to stop the leakage, this method can be used to stop the leakage. When using a plugging glue stick to plug a leak, it is necessary to thoroughly remove the oil, paint, and oxide on the plugging part to make the metal show its true color. Then adjust the plugging glue according to the ratio, and plug the leaking part until there is no leakage.
