Instrument transformer refers to a special purpose transformer. It has two main purposes: one is to expand the range of AC electrical instruments, and the other is to isolate high voltage and large current and turn it into low voltage and small current.
Low voltage transformers below 600V become low voltage transformers. A low-voltage transformer is a device that is composed of a primary coil, a secondary coil and an iron core (magnetic core), and changes the voltage through electromagnetic induction.
In order to input different voltages, the input winding can also use multiple windings to adapt to different input voltages. At the same time, multiple windings can be used to output different voltages. Three independent windings, through different connections (such as: star, delta), make it input to a three-phase AC power source, and its output is the same, this is a three-phase transformer.
Flyback transformer is also called single-ended flyback or "Buck-Boost" converter. It is named because its output terminal gets energy when the primary winding is disconnected from the power supply. Flyback converters are popular among development engineers for their simple circuit structure and low cost.
